Quality Control Operator

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Operator to join our Factory in Steeton (West Yorkshire, UK).

The purpose of the role is to ensure all parts of the stairlift meet the quality standards set down by the Quality Control Manager.

Working hours: Monday to Friday – 2.00pm - 10.30pm

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must have experience working in a quality manufacturing background
  • a FLT Licence is advantageous
  • Must be conscientious and thorough person with a proven track record
  • Be a team player
  • Be able to work to an extremely high quality standard
  • Experience working from drawings
  • Experience with the use of Jigs

Key Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the quality of each element of the product upon inspection e.g. bends, carriages, chemical checks
  • To carry out measurements with precision tools, working to small tolerances
  • Measuring and recording of incoming parts from suppliers and outgoing products
  • Be able to complete accurate work sheets, regular audits, and reports
  • Be responsible for communicating important information with regards to the quality at all levels, clearly and getting the relevant information across
  • Compile and record information/data using quality control check sheets, and communicating quickly any out of control processes

Salary Package

Salary: £12.45 per hour + Shift bonus
