HGV Replenishment Driver
Job Description
We are looking for a HGV Replenishment Driver to join our Fleet team.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, varied start time dependant on route.
- Some weekend and bank holiday working will be required so the successful candidate would require a degree of flexibility.
- The role involves staying away from home 3/4 nights a week.
- UK replenishment routes are done on a rotating basis.
Hourly Rate: £14.50 P/H. Overtime paid at time and 1/4 (anything over 45 hours).

The Ideal Candidate
- Hold a valid LGV category C+E Licence
- Experience driving heavy good vehicle
- Must hold a valid CPC and Digicard
- Computer Literate
- Experience of Load Positioning Management
- Record Keeping
- Tachograph Management
- Knowledge of geography
- Excellent Driving Skills and Road Safety Awareness
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the loading and unloading of the vehicle so that products are safe & secure
- Maintain own inventory of stock through accurate stock management practices, investigate and resolve any discrepancies
- Coordinate and replenish engineers promptly and regularly
- Create and pick stock orders for UK/engineers
- Manage returns from UK engineers, creating return stock orders and ensuring packaged correctly for return to Factory HQ.
- Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law
- Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours’ limits
- Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab & trailer, Complete daily vehicle inspection sheet and report any defective areas to the Transport Manager
- European driver cover may be required

About the Operations Department
Our Operations teams play an important role in keeping everything moving so that our customers receive outstanding service. With more than 1.5 million components in our logistics supply chain our Operations team are able to track the location of every component and know in real time what components our engineers have used. Whether a stairlift installation takes place in Manchester or Milan replacement parts are despatched, often on the same day, to ensure all our customers' needs can be met. Acorn's Global fleet consists of around 600 vehicles which are the workhorses of our organisation and it is vital they are maintained and serviced to a high standard. Opportunities within Operations include team leader, logistics co-ordinator, fleet administration and heavy goods vehicle driver.
