Logistics Stock Controller
Job Description
We are currently looking for a Logistics Stock Controller to join our Logistics Team based at our Office in Steeton (West Yorkshire, UK)
The purpose of this role is to assist in the control of stock management for all UK and European Installation and Service Engineers.
*** THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE A LEVEL OF FLEXIBILITY FOR TRAVELLING/OVERNIGHT STAYS TO EUROPE FOR STOCK MANAGEMENT WHEN NEEDED ***
Type of Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000
Working Hours (when in office): Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm and possibilities for flexible overtime when travelling.

The Ideal Candidate
- Must hold full UK Driving Licence
- Computer literate (experience using spreadsheets)
- Administration
- Experience of a similar role (desirable)
- Foreign language speaker (French, German, Italian) would be advantageous
- Knowledge of European geography (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and Coordinate stock audits for UK engineers - spot checks/counts in the field
- Complete stock takes for leavers
- Provide system training for logistics tasks and stock management training for new starters/underperforming engineers
- Complete trailers inventory count
- Reconcile completed stock takes by compiling data from in-house systems
- Investigate discrepancies using available reports
- Submit feedback/report to supervisor with regards to stock related issues
- Record and monitor stock management by engineers
- Provide telephone support to logistics system users
- Coordinating with the Fleet department for van collections
- Chase outstanding returns with relevant departments
- Correct any incorrect returns on the systems

About the Operations Department
Our Operations teams play an important role in keeping everything moving so that our customers receive outstanding service. With more than 1.5 million components in our logistics supply chain our Operations team are able to track the location of every component and know in real time what components our engineers have used. Whether a stairlift installation takes place in Manchester or Milan replacement parts are despatched, often on the same day, to ensure all our customers' needs can be met. Acorn's Global fleet consists of around 600 vehicles which are the workhorses of our organisation and it is vital they are maintained and serviced to a high standard. Opportunities within Operations include team leader, logistics co-ordinator, fleet administration and heavy goods vehicle driver.
