Finance Assistant
Job Description
We are currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Cashbook department at our Headquarters in Steeton (West Yorkshire, UK).
Reporting to the Cash Book Supervisor the purpose of the role is to ensure that all payments & receipts are posted quickly, efficiently and at the highest levels of accuracy
Salary: £23,000 + (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience working in a finance or accounting role
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Experience of SAP ideal but not essential as full training is given
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
- Processing payments and receipts for the group of companies across several countries and in a number of currencies, including: banking cash and cheques, supplier payments ,customer refunds and reward vouchers, Direct Debit collections
- Processing expenses claims
- Reconciliation and coding of Credit Card returns
- Reconciling bank statements
- General administrative work such as filing, scanning, telephone calls and emails
- Work in other functions in Finance as required to cover holidays & sickness
