Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Cook to join our Catering Team working out of our newly refurbished kitchen at our Headquarters in Steeton, West Yorkshire.
Reporting to the Catering Manager you will be responsible for running your own kitchen, working with the front of house team, to deliver delicious breakfast and lunch options for our factory, field and office colleagues. This role requires an enthusiastic and passionate with a proactive individual, with ideas and drive. You will have good knowledge of cooking and kitchens and be comfortable menu planning, ordering stock and working to COSHH and HACCP principles.
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 (DOE)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 6.30am - 3.30pm (no weekend or evening working)
The Ideal Candidate
- Catering qualification or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations and Health & Safety
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Ability to work autonomously as well as working as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and producing creative seasonal and nutritious menus
- Ensuring organisation of quality food service, including ordering of food and non-food stock
- Ensuring equipment is maintained and faults reported
- Ensuring kitchen cleaning schedules are adhered to
- Maintaining food safety, preparation and production
- General administration
- Bringing new ideas to the workplace
