Logistics Coordinator
Job Description
We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join the Logistics Department based at our Headquarters in Steeton (West Yorkshire).
The purpose of this role is to assist in the control of stock management for all UK and European Installation and Service Engineers.
- Type of Contract: Full Time, Permanent
- Salary: £24,128 P/A (equivalent of £11.60 P/H)
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
- Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per year (including bank holidays)
The Ideal Candidate
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Analytical and Problem Solving skills
- Team working
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all UK and European engineer stock takes
- Reconcile completed stock takes by compiling data from in-house systems
- Investigate discrepancies using available reports
- Communicating schedules and any changes to engineers and relevant teams
- Record and monitor stock management by engineers
- Provide assistance to the logistics team in cases of absence

About the Operations Department
Our Operations teams play an important role in keeping everything moving so that our customers receive outstanding service. With more than 1.5 million components in our logistics supply chain our Operations team are able to track the location of every component and know in real time what components our engineers have used. Whether a stairlift installation takes place in Manchester or Milan replacement parts are despatched, often on the same day, to ensure all our customers' needs can be met. Acorn's Global fleet consists of around 600 vehicles which are the workhorses of our organisation and it is vital they are maintained and serviced to a high standard. Opportunities within Operations include team leader, logistics co-ordinator, fleet administration and heavy goods vehicle driver.
