Customer Service Team Leader (French Speaking)

Job Description

We are currently looking for an Office Team Leader to join our French Operations Department based at our Headquarters in Steeton (West Yorkshire, UK).

The purpose of this role is to ensure the organisation and team is delivering prompt, courteous and efficient customer service at all times both over the phone and through written communication.

*** MUST BE FLUENT IN FRENCH AND ENGLISH ***

Working Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 P/A (Dependent on Experience)

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must be fluent in French and English
  • Experience within a similar role (minimum one year) would be an advantage
  • IT literate (including word documents, spreadsheets and emails)
  • Multi-tasking
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written)

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting targets for individuals and the team, providing guidance and feedback through performance reviews and one-to-ones
  • Managing staff rotas (holidays and breaks) to ensure there is always enough cover to maintain service level
  • Finding new ways to motivate staff
  • Ensuring all employees are adhering to company procedures and GDPR
  • Conducting disciplinary action in accordance with the company process when necessary
  • Carrying out interviews in person and via Microsoft Teams
  • Updating existing and developing new performance reports for management
  • Pitching ideas for improvements to processes, working with management to develop and implement these ideas
  • Speaking to and resolving escalated customer complaints with minimal intervention from management and more complaints with support

About the Operations Department

Our Operations teams play an important role in keeping everything moving so that our customers receive outstanding service. With more than 1.5 million components in our logistics supply chain our Operations team are able to track the location of every component and know in real time what components our engineers have used. Whether a stairlift installation takes place in Manchester or Milan replacement parts are despatched, often on the same day, to ensure all our customers' needs can be met. Acorn's Global fleet consists of around 600 vehicles which are the workhorses of our organisation and it is vital they are maintained and serviced to a high standard. Opportunities within Operations include team leader, logistics co-ordinator, fleet administration and heavy goods vehicle driver.
