Accounts Assistant (Cashbook)
Job Description
We are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance department at our Headquarters in Steeton (West Yorkshire, UK) on a 12 month Maternity Contract.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that all payments and receipts are posted quickly, efficiently and at the highest levels of accuracy.

The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience working in a finance or accounting role
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Experience of SAP ideal but not essential as full training is given
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
- Processing payments & receipts for the group of companies across several countries and in a number of currencies, including: banking cash and cheques, supplier payments ,customer refunds and reward vouchers, Direct Debit collections
- Processing expenses claims
- Reconciliation and coding of Credit Card returns
- Reconciling bank statements
- General administrative work such as filing, scanning, telephone calls and emails
- Work in other functions in Finance as required to cover holidays & sickness
Salary Package
Salary: £22,500 Pro Rata (subject to experience)
