Payroll Administrator
Job Description
We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll Department at our Headquarters in Steeton (West Yorkshire, UK).
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience dealing with both weekly and monthly payrolls is essential
- Minimum of 12 months experience within a payroll position
- Experience of working under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Good knowledge of both Microsoft Excel and Word
- Team player
- Previous experience working for a similar size company would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate processing of both weekly and monthly payrolls (around 900 employees)
- Completing calculations of pay adjustments when needed (i.e. pay reviews, pro-rating holiday entitlements and unpaid absences)
- Issuing P45’s to leavers and answering employees questions relating to final pay
- Accurate and timely filling of payroll reports and leavers paperwork
- Assist with the Pension renewal process, including liaising with employees and external providers with regards to pension clinics
- Complete pensioner audits (yearly) and be the primary contact and organiser of the pension renewal process
- Processing of pension contributions and remittance to the providers
- Dealing with internal and external payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
- Assisting Payroll Administrator with other tasks e.g Monthly payments and Quarterly/Annual returns as and when required

Salary Package
Salary: £21-£23k pro rata (subject to experience)
