Job Description
We are currently looking for a Chef to be part of our Catering/Facilities Department.
The Ideal Candidate
- Excellent food hygiene and organisational skills
- Basic food hygiene certificate required
- Basic cooking and baking skills
Key Responsibilities
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking
- Cook food for breakfast and lunch services in required batches to ensure fresh food available
- Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Check quality of ingredients
- Set high quality cyclical menus with Catering Supervisor in keeping with seasonal requirements
- Source high quality ingredients at the very best price
- Update HACCP records for all foods produced from the kitchen
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
