UK Apprenticeships

Your apprenticeship works towards a recognised qualification, along with English and Maths.

About the Apprenticeships

Our Apprentice schemes vary from 12-18 month programmes where you will learn the skills, and develop knowledge about the environment of your department.

Once in the department you will develop additional people skills, great communication, and pick up additional ways to help you perform even better in your role. The roles are challenging as you will be expected to both work and study hard. We will however give you all the time and support that you need to succeed.

After the Qualification is Gained

After a student has passed their Apprenticeship course, there may be the opportunity for a permanent role. Many of our past students have continued at Acorn after their apprenticeships; some have even climbed the ladder and moved into senior and management roles, through continued hard work and determination.

So What's in it For Me?

Your apprenticeship works towards a recognised qualification, along with English and Maths.

We pay our apprentices significantly more than the apprentice minimum wage with rates ranging from £5.40 to £6.50 Per Hour. You'll also enjoy all the fantastic benefits of working at Acorn Stairlifts, including the staff canteen.

You'll gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours to have a great career within the Mobility Sector, with the opportunity to progress into a full-time role at the end of your apprenticeship. You'll also receive 20% of your working time to spend studying for your apprenticeship including workshops, workbooks, e-learning and practical training, all with plenty of support from your team leader and senior managers; as well as your college mentor.
