Business Development Executive

Job Description

The role consists of:

  • Use internal data base to contact existing dormant/new Acorn dealers to develop them to be a regular ordering account
  • Researching and sourcing potential business opportunities and contacts
  • Developing and maintaining business relations
  • Following up business leads and identifying new sales opportunities
  • Building new relationships
  • Use diary to log calls/ make notes on the system, organise call backs and stay in touch with the dealers until they place first order
  • Contacting each dealer on a regular set basis until it becomes a regular dealer – then pass it to the account manager
  • Providing new dealers with marketing material
  • Work with other members of the team in a positive and supportive manner to keep friendly working environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Speaking ENGLISH + ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE (Italian, German, Spanish, French) is Advantageous but not essential
  • Previous work experience in a similar role
  • Commercial knowledge to analyse market data and identify new opportunities
  • Good telephone manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to approach people at all levels of seniority
  • Ambitious and persistent
  • Self-motivated and enjoy working to targets

Key Responsibilities

Salary Package

Salary: £21000 + commission (Up to £35k OTE)

Type of contract: Full Time - Permanent

Working hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hrs

Holiday entitlement: 28 days per year (including bank holidays) Raises with length of service
