We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Administrator to join our Compliance Department here at Acorn Head Office Steeton.

  • Type of contract: Full Time, Permanent
  • Salary: £18K - £20K Depending upon experience
  • Working days: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm
  • Holiday entitlement: 28 days per year (including bank holidays)

Purpose and Responsibilities:

The Health and safety Administrator will offer support across a broad spectrum of tasks, working closely with and assisting the compliance manager you will be exposed to several aspects of H&S where you will have the opportunity to develop your experience and career prospects.

This is a busy and varied role therefor excellent organisational skills coupled with a can do attitude would be needed, the ability to work accurately with a passion for providing exceptional levels of service to both our internal and external customers.

Duties:

  • The typical duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Inputting data
  • Populating reports
  • Updating risk assessments
  • Ensuring monthly safety checks are completed
  • Administration with regards to near miss reporting
  • Administration with regards to the compiling of training data and inputting records

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety is desirable but not essential
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, advanced Excel is preferable
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

The Compliance department ensures that the company adheres to external legislation, regulatory requirements and our own internal controls and standards across all areas of the business. We provide assurance to the board of directors that the business is managing its risk, providing support and guidance to management and identifying opportunities to make improvements.
