We are currently Recruiting for a Service Support Engineer to join our UK Service Department covering the Country Nationwide.

·         Type of contract: Full Time, Permanent

·         Salary: £8.55 Per Hour + £10 Per overnight stay

·         Overtime available: Paid at Time/Half after 40hrs (all extra weekends paid at Time/Half)

·         Working days: Monday – Friday

·         Holiday entitlement: 32 days per year (including bank holidays)

The role consists of:

·         Working from the Head Office at Steeton you will travel on a weekly basis Nationwide to our customer homes to service and repair their Acorn Stairlifts, Straight and Curved Models.

·         A Minimum of Three Weeks out of Four spent away in various locations

·         EAL Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Engineering and Maintenance

The successful candidate will have:

·         Stairlift Experience is Desirable but not essential

·         NVQ 2 In Stairlift Maintenance Desirable but not essential as we do offer this qualification.

·         Mechanical/electrical background is required

·         A full clean driving licence

·         A Criminal Records Bureau check will be carried out on the successful candidate

·         Must be honest, reliable, and have the ability to communicate on different levels

·         Must be willing to travel and stay away a minimum of three weeks out of four

·         Must be able to display the Acorn Values
